BCS Football Portraits/Sportraits 2009

Just finished shooting the BCS (Brazosport Christian School) 2009 football portraits/sportraits.  We decided to do something a little different in the locker room this year.  The football plays sketched on the old school chalk board turned out to be a nice backdrop. We used studio lights with umbrellas and a Nikon SB-900 Flash in optical slave mode (SU-4 mode) to light up the background.  © Brenda Read Photography

Infant Newborn Shoot in the Lake Jackson Area

Here are a few shots from a recent infant, newborn, baby shoot at a local childcare facility in the Lake Jackson area. I really enjoyed this shoot. Sweet and Sassy in the Woodlands, Tx

A little summer fun at Sweet and Sassy in the Woodlands, Tx. The girls had a fabulous time partying and cruising the Woodlands Waterway Square. It's a fantastic place to shoot. If you have young girls and are looking for a great place to have a birthday party check out Sweet and Sassy. The top image was taken with the Nikon D300 and the Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 VR lens. The bottom photo was taken with the Tamron 28-75mm 2.8.

Brenda Shoots Olympic Softball Players

USA Olympic Softball Players Jessica Mendoza, Natasha Watley and Monica Abbott
We recently had the opportunity to shoot 3 Olympic softball players. Jessica Mendoza, Monica Abbott, Natasha Watley were in the Woodlands coaching a softball Olympic training camp for young athletes . I can not say enough great things about how wonderful these ladies were at working with the kids. Their love for the game and the kids was heartfelt. "Love it. Dream it. Live it." ~ Jessica Mendoza. These Olympic stars made a great impact with the young athletes.
