Today, I re-watched a recorded video of Peter Hurley giving a presentation at the google + conference.  He makes some excellent points that all photographers think about.  He's also an entertaining speaker.

One of his focal points is the importance of getting emotion out of your subjects. 

The above head shot was taken under the bleachers at Hopper Field in Freeport, Tx.  We used a D300s with 1 - SB-900 in a softbox.  All the post processing was done in Lightroom 4... no Photoshop on this shot.

Sam is a highly accomplished high school athlete. Sam played for the Angleton Wildcats and this photo was taken during his senior session on his home field. This headshot was taken on the field using one SB-900 in a softbox and a D300s just after dark. Sam was not only a great subject but also one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I'm sure his future will be bright and we wish him the best.

Le Mans Race Car at MSR Houston Raceway

One of the many things that keeps photography interesting is the variety of assignments.  You never know what the day will bring. We could be in studio working with a newborn or on the side of a race track capturing a car whizzing past us at 150mph.  Here are a few shots from a recent shoot at MSR Houston, a 2.38 mile flat race track located 35 miles south of Houston (Near Angleton, Texas).
